About Our Experts
Tom Hunt, PA-C, MS
Tom Hunt, PA-C, MS has been a certified Physician Assistant working in Orthopedic Surgery since 2007. He has expansive knowledge in general orthopedics as well as subspecializing in Sports Medicine and Foot and Ankle Surgery. Tom has also been involved in Physician Assistant education since 2012, serving as a clinical preceptor and a Clinical Associate Professor for Ohio Dominican University. Tom has been invited to lecture nationally regarding PA utilization and reimbursement at numerous state and national meetings and conferences. Tom has been consulting with private medical organizations on PA utilization, contract negotiating and talent acquisition and recruiting. His primary passion is to improve the Doctor/APP relationship by improving APP utilization and autonomy and improving patient access to quality team-based care. He currently resides in Columbus, Ohio with his Wife and two children.
Jen Suckow, PA-C, MSTOD
Jen has a keen awareness for recognizing and developing the unique and valuable talents in others. Whether it’s working with high achieving physicians and APPs in the clinical setting or operating room, she identifies the blind spots and group dynamics that allow them to excel as high performing teams. Jen has created and facilitated leadership and professional development programs for orthopedic physicians and their teams using evidence-based research and deep understanding of the business and culture of medicine. Her training in change management, executive coaching and talent development uniquely prepares her to create strategies and action plans designed especially for surgeons and APPs
She began working in orthopedics as an athletic trainer at Notre Dame in 2000 and began her PA career at Midwest Orthopedics at Rush in 2003. She enjoys precepting PA students, mission work with Op Walk Carolinas and is a lifelong learner. Currently residing in Charlotte, NC with OrthoCarolina, she balances her work as a Organizational Development Consultant, Executive Coach and practicing PA in total joint arthroplasty.
